Marg was originally born and raised in Antigua, in the West Indies. However, she has been living in Canada for almost 50 years. As she says, “my heart belongs to Canada but my soul will always be in Antigua.
She draws inspiration for her work from her frequent trips back “home” to Antigua as well as the beautiful Canadian landscape. She spends a lot of her time in the Haliburton Highlands. As she says, she is fortunate to have her “feet in two ponds.”
She loves to teach and inspire people of all ages to paint, draw and just “scratch their creative itch”. She is in great demand for her successful step-by-step art instruction technique. There is such joy in watching my students tap into their creativity and produce fabulous pieces of art.
Marg is a certified OCT teacher and works in the various schools of the Hastings and Prince Edward School District in Ontario. She has taught an Art After School program for over 15 years and conducts many private workshops. She has been an instructor at the Haliburton School of Art and Design for 8 years.
Marg owes a great deal of her artistic success to Marilyn Coulter, a wonderful renowned local artist in the Belleville area. Marg has also taken many art workshops with Jack Reid and uses many of his techniques in her watercolour creations.
Marg currently lives with her husband, Gord in the beautiful countryside north of Belleville in Ontario, Canada. Gord and her three daughters are put the sparkle in her eyes.
